Hollywood is famous for the many mature parents that it is home to, with Richard being just one of many older celebrities to start families at an advanced age. Richard just missed the ‘oldest dad ever’ award, with Charlie Chaplin having helped to bring a child into the world at 73. Robert De Niro was another exceptionally old gentleman to welcome a daughter in, called Helen Grace, at the age of 69.

Richard was not the type of man to simply jump from family to family, however, being a devoted father to all his children. When Alexander was finally revealed to the world in 2019, Richard was not afraid to talk about his previous son. He described him as sensitive, intelligent, quick, powerful, and just better than Richard in almost every way! That is something that you will rarely hear a father say about their son!
