A Shared Faith
Silva and Richard’s affections for one another quickly blossomed, to the point where Silva left her life in Spain behind to move to New York and into Richard’s home. Being a devout Buddhist, Richard soon began sharing his beliefs with Silva, who was then convinced that this was the ideal faith for her too. In an interview with Hello! magazine in 2018, Silva described this shift in religious beliefs. She was incredibly indebted to Richard for the beauty and growth that Buddhism brought her.

Driven Apart, Together
Things were not completely peachy in the passionate couple’s love lives, however, as they were mutually combatting ugly divorces during this period. Continuing with her Hello! interview, Silva described how, “All the love stories with a complicated start, where you have to overcome a lot of difficulties together, can bring you so closer… In the beginning, he was more convinced than me, to be honest. But from very early on, we felt that we were destined to be together.”
