A Clockwork Marriage
You probably recognize the wild-looking McDowell from his terrifying starring role in Stanley Kubrick’s dystopian thriller, A Clockwork Orange. This couple was happily together for some time, with Mary even birthing a pair of children. The two would soon encounter irreconcilable difference, however, and following a decade of togetherness, they settled on a 1990 divorce. This had been a mixed bag of a marriage, with some good parts considering how long it had lasted for Hollywood standards.

Career-wise, however, Mary was owning Hollywood. He part in Melvin and Howard as a supporting actress won her an Academy Award for the role, which was incredibly significant and impressive considering that this was only her third film role. During her part in Cross Creek, a 1983 production, she also enjoyed incredible critical praise. Like many actresses with children, Mary was pushed by her children to join the cast of Back to the Future Part III. This would become the part that she is most recognized for.
